Sturgeon River Nordic Hosts Provincials!

With the amazing weather, amazing people and fantastic race courses, a wonderful weekend of provincial competition has ended for this season! The local hosting club would like to thank all of the competitors, officials and volunteers for their positive involvement and support of this event. Our Technical Delegate, Dan Brisbin and the Western Canadian High Performance rep , James Cunningham, were duly impressed. Thank you also to the parents who showed their support and good sportsmanship in cheering on and appreciating the effort of all skiers.

This weekend our club coaches are involved in another level of a Competitive Coaching course which they are also hosting for six other coaches. The course is being given by James Cunningham, the Western HP rep. Mar.23, Bill and Joan will be volunteering at the final event of the season, the School Ski Championships in La Ronge.

If you’re attending Flin Flon you need both sets of skiis waxed, so P.A./Spruce Home skiers bring both sets to Wed. practice and leave with us.

Waxing Sessions:

• Wed. @ Charlie Fraser’s – 6:30-8:30
• Thurs. @ Rhonda Miller’s – 5:30-8:00

Last practice before Provincials:

• Wed. Feb.22 at Sturgeon River Nordic 1:00-3:00 (Note: Earlier than usual and at Bill and Joan’s!!!!!)

Provincial Championships have been rescheduled for March 10 & 11 at Sturgeon River Nordic. All other details in the race notice remain the same.
